The thriving games ecosystem in northern Sweden

Arctic Game is proud to announce our membership in the Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA), a non-profit initiative dedicated to understanding and reducing the environmental impact of the global games industry. As part of this commitment, our Managing Director, Daniel Wilén, has been elected as one of the five board members of SGA.

As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on an exciting and impactful year for Arctic Game. From global events to local initiatives, this year showcased the strength and innovation of northern Sweden’s games industry. Here’s a look back at some key highlights:

Thanks to Skellefteå’s motion capture testbed, the Stockholm-based company Smash Studio was able to develop a unique artwork for Sweden’s largest light festival, Nobel Week Lights. The piece, which blends advanced technology, dance, and poetry, marks a significant milestone for the Intersective Game project and highlights the testbed’s potential as a national platform for innovation and creativity.
