Meet Intersective Game's New Regional Project Manager

We welcome Pernilla Lindmark as the new regional project manager for the three-year Intersective Game project. Pernilla has previously been the local project manager for the project in Skellefteå and brings her strong commitment and ability to find new solutions to her new role.

Meet Intersective Game's New Regional Project Manager

The Intersective Game project aims to create a testbed cluster in game technology and methodology. By promoting innovation and collaboration between different sectors, the project seeks to strengthen the development of technology and services in both the gaming industry and other areas.

What does your new role as regional project manager entail?
– As the regional project manager for Intersective Game, I have the overall responsibility to support the project team and ensure that we focus on the right activities to reach our goals on time and with high quality. By being responsive and involved in planning, implementation, and problem-solving, I aim to support the local project managers so that the work runs smoothly. In addition to the regional responsibility, I will continue to lead the project's local progress in Skellefteå, with a particular focus on increasing the use and exploring new applications for our motion capture lab.

What are you looking forward to most in the remaining project period?
– The project has been running for 1.5 years, and we are now entering the second half. The coming period will bring change and renewal as we welcome new colleagues who will strengthen our team. Their expertise and ideas will create new opportunities to drive the project forward. To make the most of this, we will start the autumn by coming together as a new team and prioritizing the project's future direction. I also look forward to working on innovative cases in both Norrbotten and Västerbotten, demonstrating how game methodology and advanced technology can make a difference in various industries.

What do you see as the biggest challenge?
– The project aims to promote collaboration and innovation at the intersection of the games industry and other sectors. We have seen significant interest, particularly from the public sector and traditional industries. But to achieve results, we need to dare to test new methods and spread knowledge about the expertise and technology available in our region, and that takes time.

Intersective Game is a three-year ERUF ÖN project with Skellefteå Science City as project owner. The project is financed jointly by Region Västerbotten, Region Norrbotten, Skellefteå Municipality, Umeå Municipality, Luleå Municipality and Boden Business Park.
