Background

Industries around the world are adopting new technologies to become more efficient and sustainable, often transforming traditional ways of working in the process. The games industry, known for its innovative and creative approaches to problem-solving, is playing a growing role in driving these changes across various sectors. Its tools and methods are proving value far beyond games, offering innovative perspectives on tackling complex challenges.

Goal

The main goal of this project is to help SME:s in northern Sweden to become more competitive by introducing them to advanced game technologies and boosting their ability to innovate. By doing so, the project aims to support the green transition, promoting sustainability while fostering economic growth.

To achieve this, the project is creating a “testbed cluster” where different industries can meet and explore advanced technologies and game methodology. This initiative encourages collaboration across industries, helping companies develop new technologies and services. By providing access to innovation environments and knowledge about game-related technologies, the project will empower SMEs to thrive in a fast-changing world.Intersective Game is a 3-year ERUF Northern Project led by SkellefteÃ¥ Science City. The project is co-financed by Region Västerbotten, Region Norrbotten, SkellefteÃ¥ Municipality, UmeÃ¥ Municipality, LuleÃ¥ Municipality, and Boden Business Park.
