21 Feb 2025Arctic Game is proud to announce our membership in the Sustainable Games Alliance (SGA), a non-profit initiative dedicated to understanding and reducing the environmental impact of the global games industry. As part of this commitment, our Managing Director, Daniel Wilén, has been elected as one of the five board members of SGA.
SGA was founded in August 2023 by industry veterans Petri Järvilehto (Co-founder, Remedy Entertainment) and Jiri Kupiainen (former VP at Disney Interactive), with backing from influential figures such as David Helgason (Founder, Unity Technologies). The alliance now includes members from nine different countries, with strong representation from the Nordic region.
– It’s truly an honor to join the board for such an important initiative backed by games industry leaders from the Nordic countries. This gives us an opportunity to play an essential role in creating a greener planet through games and help the industry save lots of time and money in their sustainability reporting, says Daniel Wilén.
About SGA
SGA actively supports its members by helping them comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), assessing their environmental footprint, and sharing best practices for a more sustainable industry. SGA encourage more Swedish studios and organizations to join and contribute to shaping a greener future for games.
