Press release
10 Oct 2025Arctic Game has officially launched its first local incubator in Skellefteå, a key step in strengthening the growth of the games industry in northern Sweden. Three promising studios – Jordan Lindgren, Full Rogue and Polysoup Interactive, have been selected to participate in the six-month program.
Supporting sustainable game development
The incubator is designed for game developers looking to turn their creative ideas into viable, long-term businesses. Drawing on insights from leading international accelerators and incubators, Arctic Game has developed a model tailored to the specific needs of the games industry. Participants receive support in both game development and business strategy, aiming to combine creativity with commercial viability.
A regional effort for long-term impact
Arctic Game is working closely with several of Sweden’s most established game clusters to share knowledge and continuously improve the incubator model. This collaborative approach ensures that the program remains relevant and delivers high value to the participating studios.
The Skellefteå incubator is part of Arctic Game’s broader mission to foster a dynamic and inclusive game development environment in northern Sweden. It connects education, community hubs, events and international networks – and now also includes a local incubator.
– This marks an important milestone for Skellefteå’s growing games community, said Tim Leinert, Business Developer at Arctic Game in Skellefteå. We’re proud to support these studios in taking the next step and to continue building a strong, sustainable games industry in the north.
