CITIES IN ARCTIC GAME LAB
WHAT WE DO
We give you a chance to enter the industry in many different ways – start studying a game education, start your own game studio, establish your company in our region or start working at one of the game companies within the Arctic Game community.
Arctic Game is a collaboration between Umeå, Skellefteå, Piteå, Luleå and Boden. In this area there is about 70 game companies and studios and about 400 professionals working in this industry.
Since 2015 we have been building a strong games community to enable individuals and companies to thrive and grow, and now we are northern Europe’s fastest growing game cluster.
GLOBAL MEETING POINT:
Arctic Game Week is an annual week of game-related events for those who work in the gaming industry, those who want to become part of the industry and for consumers of games and game-related culture.
It is a week when the international and regional gaming industry meets and when investors and publishers visit northern Sweden. The big game festival Nordsken also takes place during this week.
COMMUNITY
With a close collaboration with the industry, we arrange meet-ups, network evening, game nights, guest lectures, game jams, and much more so you can build a stronger relationship with the industry during your time as a student.
